Stronger Together 2025 Year in Review

Stronger Together – 2025 Year in Review

As a member-owned health fund, everything we do is guided by one simple principle: people looking after people. Thanks to the trust you place in us, 2025 has been a year of meaningful impact, strong growth, and continued investment in better care for our members and our region. Together, here’s what we achieved.

Caring for Our Members When It Matters Most

In 2025, HHI proudly supported:

More than $13 million paid in member benefits

More than 3,000 optical services covered

123 cataract procedures

37 new babies welcomed into HHI families

Over 10,000 dental services supported

20 ambulance services for members with Ambulance Only cover

Over 8,000 hospital bed days funded

65 hip and knee replacements (41 knees, 15 hips)

Strengthening Access, Choice and Support

Making health insurance simpler, more accessible, and more responsive, in 2025 we:

Expanded options for Rehabilitation-in-the-Home (RITH) and Hospital-in-the-Home (HITH) care

Renewed our key hospital contract with Maitland Private Hospital

Introduced new health screening benefits, covering non-diagnostic screenings not eligible for Medicare rebates

Introduced AI-assisted chat and voice support, helping members access information 24/7

Launched a refreshed website and join journey, making it easier to understand and choose the right cover

Introduced Calendly, so members can easily book a personalised cover review with our team

Investing in Local Partnerships
and Better Care

We strengthened our local footprint and partnerships by:

Establishing new corporate cover arrangements with four local employers.

Continuing our agreement with Kieser, supporting hip, knee and spine Chronic Disease Management Programs and the launch of the new Kieser Clinic in Newcastle featuring 31 machines, 6 consultation rooms, and surgeons embedded within the clinic and adjoining private hospital.
