We know that the support you need in recovering after surgery is not a one-size-fits-all.
That’s why we have partnered with Amplar Home Health to provide Rehabilitation in the Home (RITH) or Hospital in the Home (HITH) services where clinically appropriate and supported by your treating practitioner and discharge team.
Who is Amplar Home Health?
Amplar Home Health is part of Amplar Health which is a group of health service providers delivering care across Australia. Amplar believe in making health personal and providing greater access, choice and control for people in Australia to manage their health.
Rehabilitation in the Home:
Amplar Home Health’s Rehabilitation in the Home program is designed to assist your recovery at home. This means if you are recovering from surgery, or a lengthy hospital stay, and rehabilitation is required or recommended by your health practitioner where clinically appropriate you may be able to receive it at home with one of our qualified nursing or allied health practitioners.
Where clinically appropriate, services might be suitable for individuals with the following health conditions*:
- Muscle and joint issues (for example following joint replacement surgery)
- Neurological conditions such as stroke
- Reconditioning after a prolonged or serious illness or as part of the aging process
*Not available in all areas. Availability depends on the particular program, location and provider availability. Subject to product over held – must include current hospital cover with clinical category – rehabilitation, waiting periods must have been met.
Hospital in the Home:
If you need hospital services, you may be able to choose where you receive this care. Amplar Home Health’s Hospital in the Home service can provide the care you need in the comfort and privacy of your own home, as an alternative to hospital in-patient treatment.
Services available under the Amplar Home Health Hospital in the Home program may include*:
- Acute nursing
- Medication management
- Intravenous therapy
- Wound management
